It’s Time To Celebrate!

It seems my February blog has apparently decided to sync with the full moons. There was no full moon in February and there are 2 full moons this month – there was no blog in February and there will be 2 blogs this month???!! Rather than beating myself up about it, I am choosing to flow with Divine Timing and to celebrate that there will be 2 this month, as opposed to focusing on the fact that there wasn’t one last month.? With that said, let’s get into the first one of this month, with such an uplifting message – CELEBRATION!!!??

“Life is short, wear your party pants.” ~ Loretta LaRoche

As humans, we are not strangers to celebrating. Having said that we do however tend to save celebrations for specific occasions. We live in extremes: the norm and the exciting times. Like working hard and counting the days to our next holiday or in the worst case scenario, to our retirement. I have spent years being beyond comfortable living in extremes. I am now at the point that I deeply desire a more a balanced life. I honestly never thought this time would come for me, as although it was in retrospect rather intolerable, I was used to it. So in some sense, it was comfortable for me to stay there and not seek change. I am sure that many of you can relate to this ‘condition’…

However, now I wish to break free from this unhealthy pattern and take off those tight shoes that have been squeezing and thus have begun a deeper inquiry into what is considered normal – as dictated by society and how things run in general. I will start this quest from the opposite end of the stick as joyful is how I wish to be, hence the topic of celebration is on the menu for today.?

We have celebrations already present in our lives and inserted into our annual calendars. We celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Diwali, freedom/independence days, carnival, births, holidays/vacations etc. So across societies and cultures, we do recognise the importance of celebration. And yet, for the majority of folk, the time in between tends to be run of the mill, mundane and at times even dismal. What if we could allow the holiday spirit of generosity and compassion to live within us year round??

When we celebrate we are in joy! We feel happy and the process of everything things feels lighter. What if we fully embody what we are doing and approach it with a sense of glee? Be it cooking, singing, cleaning, writing, dancing or simply doing the weekly shopping! These activities will then be charged with a merry vibe and will surely take a different turn which the outcome will reflect too.?

“Singing is like a celebration of oxygen.” ~ Bjork

It’s fair to say (and I can totally relate) that it is not every day that we feel like celebrating. And that is OK too! It is important to honour where we are. I understand this beyond measure but I am coming to find that adding a dose of celebration to the little things can have gorgeous ramifications and a magical ripple effect!

In essence, wherever we are, we can always take it up a notch. Some days we will wholeheartedly be aiming for the sky and others, the pavement!? Where we are at any given point is irrelevant, as, like the seasons, we are ever-changing – what matters is that we lift ourselves a little higher than we were, with the corresponding dose of joy that that particular day can handle.?

Essentially we become our own emotional doctors and can choose to self-medicate with what we feel we need at any given time. It is important to acknowledge and respect how we feel first, as opposed to denying and resisting what our emotional body is telling us. But after that, we can always choose to level up.?

“Don’t fear the future or regret the past but celebrate the present.”  ~ Tim Mann (artist)

I am not suggesting that you lie to yourself but there is always something to celebrate, even though this will differ from day to day. On days that you are feeling naturally good, it will be a lot easier to find a point of celebration. For example, if you have had an incredibly productive day and you are on a roll, then you could have a list of mini celebrations to congratulate yourself for and feel a natural appreciation for the life you are living! On other days, the fact that you lifted yourself off the sofa to go and do some groceries could be an equally large and valid celebration! Each day is different, as are we in it. The point is that if we look for it, there is always something to celebrate – the more we practice this, the more reasons we will find… ???

“Think of the magic of that foot, comparatively small, upon which your whole weight rests. It’s a miracle, and the dance is a celebration of that miracle.”  ~ Martha Graham

It just makes one wonder, do we ever stop and look at the mountain that we are standing on for a moment, before attempting the next mountain that we are set to climb? We have achieved so much already! Do we take the time to acknowledge this?! Or are we forging ahead focused solely on the next finish line and missing the wonderful metaphorical views of our journey?  I know that I for one am guilty of this! For instance, why not celebrate different stages of a project as opposed to just waiting until it’s completion? It brings more joy and life-force into our ventures and creates more momentum and motivation when the little victories are cherished.?

“Never underestimate the importance of celebrating – this is something we hold to be true at Virgin. We know the power that public and private praise and parties have to raise morale and reinforce positive behaviour. Plus, life’s more fun when you stop to appreciate both the big and small moments and milestones.” ~ Richard Branson

Do we celebrate ourselves at the end of each day and tell ourselves what a great job we have done and do a mental checklist of what we have accomplished that day? When I do this I feel great for ultimately self-praise is the BEST form of praise that you can EVER receive!! Shower yourself with it!?

By waking up each day in a bed, with a roof over our head that is cause for celebration! And being brave enough to step out of it and put one foot in front of the other on low days and pull through the day is cause for celebration indeed!?? On other days when we seem to spring out of bed with a smile on our face, we are naturally in a celebratory state. I am sure that we would all like to feel that bliss on as many days as possible – preferably every day and that is a good goal to have!!?

But even when we don’t feel as though we are trampolining out of bed we must still celebrate for we have nonetheless risen. Perhaps if we celebrated a little more on all levels, we would train ourselves into a natural state of celebration, just as we have trained ourselves (and allowed ourselves to have been trained) into never being good enough! How would our lives revolve if we fought back with a little celebration on a regular basis? I think we may surprise ourselves…

“Remember to celebrate milestones as you prepare for the road ahead.” ~ Nelson Mandela

As Abraham Hicks says “Joy is the Key!” to all that we desire, for when we feel good we attract good things and the same goes vice-versa, as we are ultimately vibrational beings residing in a vibrational Universe. We are meant to be abundant and happy and live lives that fulfil us and makes us joyful, for that is our birthright! Even Jesus turned water into wine!??

We need to clean our personal closets to feel this authentically and most of us are already in the process of doing so, but do we give ourselves the credit for this bravery?? Again a celebration point!

When we are at our best we can be of better service to others.   But it all starts with us. We are responsible for ourselves – if our cup is empty we cannot attempt to fill another’s. Even though we are one with all that is, we are unique individuals at the same time and that is cause for celebration in itself!!? For we all have a unique heart print, currently here to leave our own impression upon the planet and humanity – nobody can take our place, so it is up to us to be the best versions of ourselves and do what makes us happy!?? By doing just that we are not only raising our vibration but Earth’s too! WOOHOO!?

“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.” ~  Oprah Winfrey

Haha, it’s funny how as I write this it becomes clearly apparent that we really can turn most things into a cause for celebration – how wonderful is that! And on the days that the last thing we feel like doing is celebrating and have the inner urge to blow the lights out of anyone who is beaming with joy, we must celebrate the fact that we can recognise this within ourselves enough to honour our feelings and to love ourselves anyway.? For everything is transient and that too shall pass – even faster for the fact that we have recognised it, honoured it and allowed it to flow through us…

It’s the small, consistent steps that create the biggest achievements – you have achieved SO much already!! Be proud of yourself and pat yourself on the back!!? Celebrate yourself EVERY DAY for all that you have achieved, the marvellous person that you are and all that you strive to become!!?

YOU are a gift! You are an agent of the Divine! You are INCREDIBLE, PRICELESS and an ESSENTIAL part of the whole Universe!?

Laugh, live with gusto and infect all those you encounter with delightful enthusiasm! Think of Celebration as Gratitude on steroids and imagine the potency of that!?

Shine bright and celebrate the brilliant diamond that you are!!?

Sending you so much love and plentiful party vibes!???

You are WORTHY! Have FUN!! And remember:
